My name is Miguel Alfonso Vargas, aka. Alfonsote and I have recently graduated children’s who are now utilizing their artistic instinct thanks to my program of remote classes that i design. Through my classes, I taught children the basics of graphic design using the open-source application, Photopea. I wanted to help foster creativity in children by introducing them to open technologies and digital design, further expanding their knowledge. Photopea even published an article praising my initiative and all the work I have done! Through this program, I hope to continue to inspire children to explore their creative capacities in a digital world.
Conditions… the only one.
In this 4-month experience, I committed to guiding these children three times a week, with the sole request that parents ensure their children’s participation is voluntary, not forced.

These are some screenshots of the final projects from the class, each showcasing the unique style of some of the children who participated in this design module within the program.
Having a guide is the greatest gift, and there is nothing more beautiful than gifting the present to the future with no past.

The classes lasted for 2 hours and were entirely remote. I consistently recorded and uploaded them to the YouTube channel. Additionally, I taught them how to use Discord responsibly, allowing them to reach out for consultations and gain a better understanding of remote work methodology.

Inspiration and the idea
I have a son whom I constantly educate and update with technical knowledge, as he faced numerous learning challenges at his age, which were quite traumatic for me. Over time, I noticed that he often got bored when we were studying or when I tried to teach him something. So, I asked him how he thought it could be made more enjoyable, and he replied, ‘With more kids.’ That’s where the idea of designing this course was born, which I found to be brilliant.

Upon achieving this milestone, the organization behind the Photopea software publicly acknowledged our group, which brought tremendous joy to all the children and made their parents incredibly proud of such recognition
